Availability

Abortion Pill ---Available up to 9 weeks and 0 days after the start of your last menstrual period. ---Available by appointment only. ---Client must agree — before she starts —that she will have an in-clinic abortion if the abortion pill does not work ---Access to a telephone, transportation and as needed medical care is provided In-Clinic abortion ---Available up to 13 weeks and 6 days after the start of your last menstrual period ---Available by appointment only.

Eligibility

An abortion consultation appointment is required before the procedure can be scheduled. The consultation will include: ---urine pregnancy test ---vaginal ultrasound ---pelvic exam ---discussion of the risks, benefits, alternatives, and a step-by-step review of what to expect during and after the procedure ---discussion of post abortion birth control options For clients under the age of 18: ---Parents must give permission for an abortion ---One parent be told of the abortion 24 hours before it takes place. ---A judge can excuse the client from both of these requirements

Intake Procedure

Clients may be given the following prior to the abortion: ---a pregnancy test ---a chance to speak with a trained staff person about all of your choices: abortion, adoption, and parenting ---a conversation with the health care provider about your health history ---lab tests/blood work ---a pelvic exam ---an ultrasound ---medications to make the abortion more comfortable ---medication if you are Rh negative ---antibiotics or other medications ---birth control information ---a birth control method
