The Virginia Employment Connection (VEC) is a website that has many resources for unemployed Virginia residents. Clients must register to access any services, or file any claims.
Go to the website listed below and click the "Unemployed" link on the header underneath "Virginia Employment Commission." From there, clients can file for unemployment benefits, reopen an existing claim, or appeal a decision made by the Commission. Clients can also access knowledge about their benefits rights and see a schedule of upcoming job fairs. Finally there is an online database of unemployment forms.
