Programs that enforce local ordinances that require the owner of a property to post an address sign that depicts the municipal address or street address number of the property. The address number sign must follow local regulations related to its visibility, its distance from the ground and from the road, as well as its design. In rural areas, reflective signs must be used to help emergency services quickly locate homes. The programs may also help property owners identify a supplier to request a new sign or replace a missing or damaged sign.
