The Virginia Division of the Aging, fosters the independence and well-being of Virginia's Seniors and assists their caregivers through leadership, advocacy and oversight of state and community programs, and guides the Commonwealth in preparing for an aging population.

The Senior Services Office of SE Virginia completes initial intake screenings for the residents of:

---Virginia Beach
---Isle of Wight County
---Southampton County
---Franklin
---Suffolk

The Peninsula Agency on Aging completes initial intake screenings for residents of:
---James City County
---York County
---Hampton
---Newport News
---Poquoson
---Williamsburg

Program Fees:

---Most services are offered free of charge
---Financial assistance is available
---Program costs are determined on a sliding scale

Languages:

Both English and Spanish are spoken by the staff.

Eligibility:

---All seniors, age 60 and over and their caregivers
---Anyone age 18 or older living with a disability and their caregivers
