Description:

The Cooperative Living Program, developed for youth with developmental disabilities, emotional, behavioral and psychiatric disorders, is a structured therapeutic environment with 24-hour supervision and special education services for youth aged 12 to 20 who have shown an inability to be maintained safely in a less restrictive environment. Referrals accepted by family, social services departments, court services or education agencies.

The Assessment and Diagnostic Program offers a structured, secure setting for youth whose emotional and behavioral functioning is significantly impaired and who need a comprehensive evaluation to determine the best treatment options. We use evidence-based assessment and diagnostic tools and treatment protocols that are best suited to meet their individual needs.

The program is available for males and females, ages 7!€“17, and the anticipated stay is between 60 and 90 days.

--- Nutritional Assessment
--- Psychosexual Assessment (if needed)
--- Speech and Occupational Evaluation
--- Nursing assessment to include vision, dental and hearing
--- Medical History and Physical Exam
--- Independent Living Skills Assessment 14+
--- Career/Vocational Assessment

Program Services Provided:
--- 24-hour supervision and nursing care in a secure facility
--- Psychiatric evaluation within 24 hours of admission
--- Weekly psychiatric follow-up
--- Treatment plan development
--- Psychotherapy groups
--- Individual psychotherapy
--- Daily Milieu group therapy
--- Education 5.5 hours per day
--- Urine drug screen within 24 hours of admission
--- Substance use services
--- Speech and occupational therapy services
--- Comprehensive final report
