Virginia Career Works

Description:

VCW operates a comprehensive website and several Career Works Centers throughout the Hampton Roads area. By completing their orientation either online or in person at a One-Stop location clients will have access to a variety of free services.

Core services are usually self-directed and are available to anyone at every One-Stop location:
---Access to computers, telephones, fax and copy machines
---Access to job banks and other listings of available jobs
---A variety of workshops detailed online

Clients who are not able to obtain employment or who remain underemployed after utilizing core services are eligible for intensive services such as
---One on one job search assistance with a career developer
---Mock interviews
---Membership in the Job Networking Club

Also provides special programs for youth age 14-24 and Veterans

Intake Process:

Job seekers interested in learning more about how services offered through Virginia Career Works Hampton Roads should first take our brief orientation and questionnaire. It usually takes 5-10 minutes. The questionnaire is a formality that tells us you!€™ve completed orientation.

The orientation will familiarize you with the services available and provide an idea of which you may be eligible to receive. Once completed, please contact staff at one of our Virginia Career Works Centers.
