Transitions Family Violence Services

Description:

Transitions Family Violence Services is a nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating domestic violence in Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson and York County.
We are the sole provider of comprehensive services to adult and child victims of domestic violence. Since 1977, we have been a pathway to safety and a source of hope for thousands of individuals and families.
Programs include:
*Court Advocacy
*Counseling
*Community Education & Training
*Shelter for adults and children fleeing domestic violence

Intake Process:

Victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and/or human trafficking contact the Coordinated Crisis Response. Homeless families are referred through the Virginia Beach Coordinated Entry and Assessment System, starting with calling the Regional Housing Crisis Hotline

Eligibility:

Single men/women who are victims of domestic violence and men/women with children who are victims of domestic violence, including the LGBT community
